Fundraising for Joy Makers Charity Foundation is an opportunity to sustain our work and have fun while doing it. There are diverse ways you can raise funds to keep our projects running. You can organise events (dinner party, sporting challenges), ask for donations (cash and in-kind), get sponsored for a personal challenge – this will help us continue our work and increase our presence throughout Uganda and beyond. Workplace Giving Program
In line with corporate social responsibility and doing business with purpose, organizations and companies are now encouraging their employees to volunteer time and/or donate to not-for-profits organizations within their communities. Does your organization have in place Employee Giving Program? You can request that your contribution be assigned for a particular purpose or organization.
You can also donate to our cause through Payroll Deductions which is set up for employees who wish to effortlessly donate to a worthy cause. IRA Charitable Rollover
Please contact your IRA Administrator to ensure that all necessary steps are completed to finalize your charitable distribution. We also encourage you to consult with your tax advisor when considering this type of gift.
If you are 70 1/2-years-old or older and have a traditional Individual Retirement Account (IRA), an IRA rollover is a savvy way to make a gift and support JOY MAKERS CHARITY FOUNDATION. IRA charitable rollovers give you the opportunity to transfer up to $100,000 each year without it being treated as taxable income.
For your gift to qualify:
– You must be 70 ½ or older at the time of your gift.
– The transfer must go directly from your IRA to Joy Makers Charity Foundation.
– Your total annual IRA gift(s) cannot exceed $100,000.
– Your gift must be made to Joy Makers Charity Foundation by December 31.
– Your gift must be outright. IRA Charitable Rollover gifts to donor-advised funds or life-income vehicles, such as charitable gift annuities or charitable remainder trusts, are not allowed.

People with disabilities commonly live in extreme poverty which makes access to mobility aids and other supports incredibly difficult.
